Chris "Fury"
Introducing the one and only Chris Fury, aka the ultimate Blerd and podcaster extraordinaire! At a young age, Chris was indoctrinated into the world of superheroes and comic books and since then, he’s never looked back. From his hometown of Akron, Ohio, to Cleveland, Chris has stayed true to his nerdy roots and has become a voice to be reckoned with in the world of podcasting.
Chris has always been a creative at heart, making the most of any opportunity that has come his way. After enrolling in Ohio Media School with the intention of becoming a writer/director/producer for TV and film, he found his unique voice while voicing mock commercials and liners for “Media Day”. It was at this moment that Chris discovered his knack for discussing the world of comics and all things geek. With the encouragement of his instructor John Robert Duesenberry, Chris dove headfirst into the world of podcasting.
Taking his talents to Circle of Nerds, Chris quickly became a vital member of the team, discussing everything from Star Wars to fantasy football. However, Chris didn’t stop there – he wanted to offer a more diverse perspective on the world of nerd culture and thus, Blerd’s Eyeview was born.
As the host of Blerd’s Eyeview, Chris provides a safe space for POC creatives to discuss their love of nerd culture and to showcase their work. Whether it’s interviewing cosplayers or indie comic creators, Chris offers a platform free of bias or judgement. It’s been three years since the creation of Blerd’s Eyeview, and the podcast has grown from strength to strength, with live panels at conventions such as Blerdcon and J1Con.
However, Chris isn’t just a podcaster – he’s also a voice actor, with roles in audio dramas such as Talk Story To Me and Hostel. He’s even the voice cast director for an upcoming project, Robo Lobo, as well as the head of the news core team for a new streaming service.
So, whether you’re tuning in to Blerd’s Eyeview on your favorite podcast platform or catching the show on YouTube or APRTV, one thing is for sure – Chris Fury is the ultimate Blerd and advocate for all things geeky.
